The Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov plans to reduce staffing of public authorities in the city to save money. He said this on Tuesday at a meeting of the city government, reported the press service of the Smolny.
"We must save money is the money of our citizens. Therefore, I instruct the Vice-Governor Eugene Eline and Eduard Batanov, to prepare and two weeks to submit a plan for the retrenchment of public authorities of St. Petersburg and subordinate organizations" – quoted Beglov press service.
According to the press service, he also noted that "downsizing will not only save money, but also to improve the efficiency of the state apparatus".
The extent of the cuts in the Smolny has not yet announced.
