Agricultural enterprises of Moscow region gathered to date, more than 860 tons of strawberries, said the Minister of agriculture and food of the region Andrey Razin. His words are on the website of the regional government on Tuesday, July 21.
“due to excessive moisture in the soil this year delicate strawberries difficult tie, slowly ripen and lose a bit of taste. The rains have added to our farmers the hassle of the harvest,” he told Razin.
He said that strawberry picking will continue until Aug. Last year agricultural enterprises of the region gathered in the open ground more than 1.2 thousand tons of strawberries.
There are eight major producers of strawberries in the open ground.
