The UK government appealed to Japan to help the British to build a 5G network without the involvement of Huawei Technologies. About it reports Reuters, citing Japanese newspaper Nikkei.
It is noted that as a potential alternative suppliers to British authorities said NEC Corp. and Fujitsu Ltd.
According to Nikkei, the meeting of representatives of the British government with Japanese colleagues took place on 16 July, two days after the Minister of digital technologies, culture, media and sport UK Oliver Dowden reported that the government of the Kingdom plans to abandon the equipment the Chinese company Huawei in the 5G networks.
