From the interim President of Bolivia, Janine Agnes was diagnosed with a coronavirus. The head of the country said in a video message posted on her Twitter page.
"Together with my team we worked hard to resist the coronavirus in the country. As many of my colleagues contracted COVID-19, I also took a test which was positive" – turned to his followers Agnes and added that now the 14 days will be quarantined. Agnes, who came to power in a coup, said he feels fine and plans to work remotely.
Earlier, three other high-ranking government officials were identified coronavirus. We are talking about the head of the Cabinet of Yerko Núñez, the Minister of mining Jorge Fernando Oropesa and the Minister of health of ad Rock.
On the eve Agnes along with her Cabinet Ministers participated in a virtual meeting of the presidential Council of the Andean community. However, the footage of the event, she was without a protective mask. That has infected anyone else from the leadership of Bolivia, not yet reported.
Meanwhile, the epidemiological situation in Bolivia remains extremely tense. The first cases of the coronavirus in the country has revealed exactly 4 months ago. Since then, the spread of infection are not yet able to take control, despite strict quarantine measures. According to the latest Bolivian Ministry of health, the country confirmed 42 thousand 984 case, 1577 people died. The country is home to about 11 million people.
