Leakage of passport data of citizens who distantly voted on amendments to the Constitution, are excluded. RNS about it reported in a press-service of the Ministry of communications.
The Ministry noted that for internal use by members of election commissions, the Ministry of communications of Russia has prepared an automated service. With it, you can check on the site, vote if the voter remotely. It is used to prevent double voting. Using the service could also vote in the traditional way those voters who showed up, but did not use online voting.
“the Application was available for download via the enclosed link and was located in password-protected files. Passwords were distributed through secure channels to transfer data only to persons authorized to use the service. A series and passport number before download of the application has been coded and represented received a random sequence of characters (a hash), not identifying the citizen. The hash sums are not personal data. The publication of such a random set of symbols can’t harm the citizens”, — explained in Department.
