Russia reported to the UN on the elimination of the country of extreme poverty. This is stated in the review on the implementation of the sustainable development goals to 2030, prepared for the UN by the Analytical center for the government together with the Ministry of economic development, Ministry of foreign Affairs and the Federal service of state statistics.
According to the survey, with the threshold of absolute poverty-that is, the per capita income is below 3.2 dollars a day, in Russia, there are only 0.1% of the population. 1% of Russians have incomes below 5.5 dollars a day, another 6,2% – below $ 10 a day.
The document notes that an effective policy of poverty reduction will allow to 2024 to halve the national poverty level compared with 2018, when the proportion of the poor population with incomes below the subsistence minimum was 12.6 %. This goal, the government intends to achieve during the implementation of national projects and implementation of new mechanisms of social support.
The authors also reported on the success in the eradication of hunger. The survey shows that the level of malnutrition in 2018 among persons 18 years and older was 1.8%, while acute food insecurity felt only 0.3% of the population of Russia, and moderately or sharply at 6.2%.
As reported by “the Rambler”, earlier Vice-the Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova in the program “Posner” called a small average salary in Russia in 47 thousand rubles.
“If I remember correctly, 47 thousand rubles – the average salary in Russia, which includes Moscow. That’s 47 thousand to 12 multiply much? It’s a little”, she said.
