The defendant in the case, “the Seventh Studio” Kirill Serebrennikov, the Director of the state should apologize as he is not guilty, stated in his Telegram channel chief editor of radio station “Echo of Moscow” Alexei Venediktov. He also claimed the innocence of the remaining defendants.
Earlier, as reported “the Rambler”, it became known that the Meshchansky district court of Moscow has recognized Kirill Serebrennikov, as well as producers Alex Malopolska and Yuri itina guilty in the theft of about 130 million rubles, allocated by the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation on the implementation of the project “Platform”.
Prior to this, the representative of state charge has asked court to sentence the film Director in the form of real imprisonment for a period of 6 years. The protection of government requires for its client a full acquittal.
Glavred “echo of Moscow” Alexei Venediktov said that none of those is really the seventh Studio accused of a crime I did not commit.
“Obviously, pieces of silver and the other defendants for "the case of the 7th Studio" is innocent and needs to be justified”, – the journalist wrote (spelling and punctuation of the author saved – approx. ed.).
He also said that on behalf of the state defendants should be apologized.
