The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky expressed extreme surprise at the scale of the tragedy in Ivano-Frankivsk region, where there was a flood. The impressions he shared on a talk show “Right to rule”.
Earlier, as reported “the Rambler”, Zelensky visited Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, Western region of the country, most affected by flooding, during a working trip. There the President will soon hold a meeting which will put the question of liquidation of consequences of emergency situations.
National leader of Ukraine stressed that, talking to people and assessing the situation in the region with altitude on the helicopter, was struck by the scale of the tragedy.
According to preliminary data, said the head of state, the result was a destroyed 8 million, 10,000 hectares of agricultural land was under water.
It is noted that the Ukrainian authorities on the restoration of the old conditions of life and labour of local residents allocated the amount of about $ 28 million.
Zelensky said that at the moment all the damaged Federal roads have been restored, which, in turn, was surprised by the locals.
