International festival of gardens and flowers Moscow Flower Show 2020 was launched in Moscow in an online format, according to the official website of the mayor and government of Moscow.
The largest event in the field of landscape design in Russia – the IX Moscow international festival of gardens and flowers Moscow Flower Show 2020 – will bring together the best professionals and experts from around the world, it will be held online and will run until July 5.
Amateurs and professionals from anywhere in the world visit the virtual booths of the 300 leading companies in the field of landscape design from 20 countries, will be able to communicate with famous designers, architects and florists, as well as to evaluate works presented in the competition program.
Russia’s largest event in the field of landscape art this year dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war. The theme of the competition program of the festival were "gardens of the world". Their projects represent 30 leading Russian and foreign designers, including domestic fashion designers: Alena Akhmadullina and Denis Gulyaev. A special invitation to participate received landscape teams from cities of military glory.
Festival winners will be determined by the authoritative international jury. It is traditionally headed by a judge of the Royal horticultural society of great Britain James Alexander-Sinclair. Apart from him, to evaluate the work of the participants will be Vice-President of Fund of support of parks and gardens of France, Princess Marie-Sol de La Tour d’auvergne, and other experts.
The festival is held the V anniversary of the children’s national contest of landscape design and gardening "planet of flowers". Also for the first time held a competition for Amateur gardeners. And the participants of the student competition offer Smart Garden to create the concept of the smart garden of the future, connecting the actual ideas of landscape design and modern technology.
This year the organizers expanded the educational part of the festival. The program includes forums, webinars, workshops, live shows and lectures of landscape industry professionals. Special activities prepared for children with special needs.
For virtual visitors organized marketplace, which will present the products of the leading Russian and foreign manufacturers of landscape sphere.
Moscow Flower Show is the largest event in Russia in the field of landscape art and landscape design. The festival is held since 2012. Annually it is visited by over 80 thousand people.
