Ultraviolet radiation from special lamps effectively inactivates the virus SARS-CoV-2. This was confirmed by studies conducted by the National laboratory for infectious diseases (NIEDL) Boston University together with Signify – one of the leaders in the field of lighting.

At a dose of 5 MJ/cm2 spread of the virus SARS-CoV-2 decreased by 99 percent for six seconds. When exposed at 22 MJ/cm2, the virus is destroyed almost completely in 25 seconds.
