Eight new trams “Vityaz-Moscow” joined the fleet of Mosgortrans in June, reported the press service of the Russian developer and manufacturer of city electric transport company “PC Transport system”.
“PK “Transport system” continues to manufacture new rolling stock for the capital: eight new three-section trams “Vityaz-Moscow” joined the fleet of Mosgortrans in June. The total number of such cars in the city now is 360 units,” – stated in the message.
As explained by President of LLC “PK Transport system” Felix Vinokur, the company has already delivered more than half of the trams “Vityaz-Moscow” on the additional agreement, 60 of the 90 machines.
“within a few months we will deliver the remaining 30 units. It is encouraging that upgrading the tram fleet more and more Muscovites have the opportunity to enjoy a comfortable travel on modern low – floor trams,” – he stressed.
The press service reminded that in 2016, “PC Transport system” signed a contract for the supply of 300 three-section, fully low-floor trams 71-931М “Vityaz-Moscow” in the next three years. In the fall of 2019, “PC Transport system” fully complied with the contract to supply 300 trams, receiving awards for “Book of records of Russia” and “the Book of records of Europe” for the highest number of three-section trams, delivered on one contract in one city (two years six months and six days). In the course of implementation of the contract in the autumn of 2019, the parties signed an additional agreement for the supply of 90 more trams of this model, 60 of which have already been transferred to the customer.
