Acting environment not known for its abundance of people with different sexual orientation. The actor Vladimir Mashkov said “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
“I don’t think that acting this shop is famous for”, he said.
Mashkov suggested that the view that among the actors a lot of homosexuals, was because the actors in plain sight. He also suggested that people with different sexual orientation are found in other types of activities.
The actor expressed the view that sexual orientation is a private matter of each person, and the theatrical world has been and will be manifold.
According to Mashkov, it becomes awkward when you start visual propaganda about non-traditional sexual lifestyle, he doesn’t know how to react, but not react aggressively.
“I encountered some violent manifestation of this in our environment,” he added.
Mashkov, as reported by “the Rambler”, played in such films and television series like “Thief”, “Crew”, “Do it again!”, “Idiot”, “Liquidation”, “Councilor”, “Ashes” and “piranha” and has directed such films as “Papa” and “the Orphan Kazan”. In 2018 he was appointed artistic Director of the Moscow theatre of Oleg Tabakov.
