Putin called absolutely sacred memory of the war
The status of the main temple of the Russian Armed forces, as reported by “the Rambler”, is the Cathedral of the Resurrection in the Park “Patriot” in the town of Kubinka, Moscow region.
It was built on donations. On 14 June he was consecrated by Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill. The height of the Cathedral’s belfry is 75 meters, the upper Church can accommodate about 3.5 thousand people. Also in the Cathedral is the Museum complex, the length of the galleries exceeds 1.4 thousand meters.
Putin attended the ceremony of laying the Foundation stone of the main temple of the Armed forces. Earlier, his press Secretary Dmitry Peskov reported that the President will visit the Cathedral after the construction, but did not mention the specific date of his visit. The visit took place today. In the course of it the President has visited the Church and participated in prayer. It was served by Patriarch Kirill.
Also during the visit, Putin called the Great Patriotic war, one of the most bitter and dramatic pages of Russian history and the memory of it — absolutely sacred for the citizens of the country.
