The British foreign office commented on the article of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the Second world war and the views of Russian policy on the conflict, reports RIA "news".
To defeat the Nazi regime during the war was possible thanks to the joint efforts, courage and suffered by the victims of the Soviet Union, Britain, the United States and other allies, said the representative of the Department, who got acquainted with the publication.

"Our common history should not be used as a political tool or correspond with States in their own interests", – said the British foreign office.

The politician explained that he was forced to prepare this material, as the current generation of politicians is responsible to the past and the future, to do everything possible so that this terrible tragedy is not repeated.
