it is believed that Jainism originated in the IX-VI centuries BC, although according to most doctrine, it has always existed. However, this is just one of the legends. According to another, the founder of Jainism was a Kshatriya of Vardhman, which in 568 BC, renounced all worldly things, gave away all that he had, and over 12 years led the life of an ascetic. In this respect Jainism is similar to Buddhism.
Age was found sculptures yet to be determined. But scientists remind us that in the same place two years ago, was found a statue of the 23rd Jain monk of parsvanatha. In addition, both statues were discovered just 15 kilometers from the city of Sammallahti, which was the first capital of the dynasty Rashtrakuta.
members of this dynasty ruled the entire territory of present-day Telangana in the VIII-IX centuries of our era, and they adopted Jainism. From written sources it is known that this dynasty set up the statues of monks all over the Kingdom for a wide spread religion.
Perhaps found both of the statues were made in that period of time, that is, their age can be 1100-1200 years.
