the head of the Ministry of construction of Russia Vladimir Yakushev announced the proposal not to raise tariffs for services housing and utilities services (HCS) on July 1, leaving them at the level of 2019. Previously Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that the government has no plans to take action to increase tariffs in the housing sector.
“Today is the initiative that from 1 July not to increase tariffs for the use of housing services, not to increase the payments,” said Mr. Yakushev during online conference “housing after the pandemic — challenges and solutions” (quoted by “Interfax”). However, he said that if this decision is made, the industry faces severe underfunding.
In April, the Ministry of construction has asked the government to support the housing sector. In particular, it was proposed to include it in the list of industries most affected by the coronavirus. Vladimir Yakushev explained that the control of the company lay a big load: increased frequency of cleaning, an additional disinfection of premises due coronaviruses.
