Deputy Chairman of the Central election Commission of Russia Nikolay Bulaev told TASS on Tuesday that the Commission on June 2 approved the procedure for the nationwide vote on the law on the amendment of the Constitution, which contains clear information about voting before July 1, no early voting to organize not planned.
Previously, the RBC reported that Russian authorities allegedly encouraged the regions to create conditions for wide use of early voting on the Constitution. According to sources, actors need to build work so that to ensure a high voter turnout during all the seven days of the vote.
“We made the order a nationwide vote on June 2 in its final form and discussed it long ago. And there in this document clearly spelled out when voting begins. Voting begins six days before the primary voting day on 25 June. And the mystery out of this no no not done completely,” said Bulaev.

Amendment
on 1 June, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the leadership of the CEC and members of the working group on preparation of amendments to the main law of the country supported the proposal to hold a vote on July 1. Later, the President signed the corresponding decree.
In January 2020 in his address to the Federal Assembly, Putin proposed to amend the basic law a number of amendments that would make the document more relevant to the contemporary reality and would perpetuate the results achieved. After discussion of the amendments by the ad hoc working group of the state Duma on 11 March, p��was inala in the final reading a presidential bill. On the same day it was approved by the Federation Council, then the document was supported by the legislative assemblies of all subjects of the Russian Federation. The outcome of this examination on 14 March, the Federation Council adopted a resolution and sent it to the President.
Putin has signed a decree, appointing a nationwide vote on the amendments on April 22. However, due to the pandemic coronavirus President in a televised address to the citizens on 25 March said that the vote should be postponed.
