Russian language Day is celebrated on 6 June, the birthday of Alexander Pushkin.
As pointed out by the speaker, in Russia there live representatives of almost two hundred nationalities, many of whom speak their native language, learn it. In this Russian language became the basis of the multicultural community.
amendments to the Constitution that will be put to a nationwide vote on 1 July, it is proposed to consolidate the provision that “the state language of the Russian Federation throughout its territory is Russian as the language of the constituent people, part of a multinational Union of equal peoples”.
