the prize of the Mayor of Moscow named after Nikolai Ostrovsky is awarded to persons with disabilities for outstanding achievements in the field of culture and also for his significant contribution to the creation of conditions for the full development of people with disabilities in the arts.
the Prize is awarded in 10 categories:
— for outstanding achievement in the visual arts;
— for outstanding achievement in the performing arts.
— for outstanding achievements in literature and journalism.
— for outstanding achievements in the field of design and fashion;
— for durability, strength and significant achievements in various spheres of life;
— for the promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
— for the promotion of a life of heroism and creativity of the writer Nikolai Ostrovsky;
— for outstanding work in the field of organization of joint leisure of children and youth with disabilities among their peers without such restrictions;
— for a significant contribution to the creation of conditions for the comprehensive development of people with disabilities in the field of culture and art;
— for public activities in the sphere of support of persons with disabilities and recognition of their achievements.
In 2020, the prize will be awarded for the third time. Apply for participation can citizens over the age of 18 years and having permanent or temporary registration at the place of residence in Moscow. In the first six categories is open only to applicants with disabilities.
the Winners are selected by the competition Commission for awarding prizes, consisting of figures of culture and art, members of public organizations on protection of rights and legitimate interests of persons with disabilities. The results of the contest will be announced on the eve of the International day of disabled persons on 3 December. Each winner will receive a diploma, a badge and table medal and a cash prize in the amount of 150 thousand rubles.
In 2019 for the competition for the awards were submitted 56 applications.
