As noted in the Ministry of construction, in terms of economic situation in Russia and in the world due to the spread of coronavirus infection, the decline of housing construction in April-may 2020 was predictable. In 44 regions had restrictions on construction work in Moscow and Moscow region the construction of housing in almost a month was stopped.
“the decision on the construction work and any restrictions were taken by the leadership of each region, based on the epidemiological situation”, – stressed the Minister of construction and housing and communal services Vladimir Yakushev.
From January through April, according to the Ministry of construction, was introduced by 18.6 million square meters of housing, only 5.1% lower than in 2019. Of them apartment houses and 9.1 million square meters, which is 1.1% lower than the same period of 2019, individual housing is 9.5 million square meters, which is 8.7% lower than a year ago.
“In April on behalf of the President Ministry of construction has developed measures to support the construction industry, April 22 was approved a list of instructions. They are aimed at maintaining demand, financing and construction of planned new housing in 2020-2021 years”, – said Yakushev.
the Ministry hopes that these measures will help to increase the pace of construction and housing for the year will remain at least at the level of 2019.
