As reported by the newspaper “Izvestia”, the relevant document was sent to the Ministry of labor of a tripartite Commission on regulation socially-labour relations.
If the initiative of the Ministry will realize, from the salaries of citizens will begin taking contributions in a special Fund. In the event of loss of employment, the Russians will get out of it benefits.
the Ministry stressed that the development of the system will be possible only if trade unions and business representatives will come to a common opinion. The latter has already opposed the initiative.
Now employers pay for their employees insurance premiums in the amount of 30% of wages to Pension Fund, social insurance Fund and mandatory medical insurance Fund.
Experts believe that for employers unemployment insurance will result in additional burden on reporting, and employees simply do not want to make additional contributions.
however, the rector of the Financial University under the government of Alexander Safonov called unemployment insurance everywhere in the world. He explained that typically, the size of deducted contributions is approximately 2% of salary.
