Poklonskaya was declared a suspect under part 1 of article 255 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (“Creation of a criminal organization”). The Department believes that it and several other persons, including the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov, allegedly created a criminal organization “to commit grave and especially grave crimes on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and also participated in it.”
