The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian Muslims on Eid al-Adha. This was reported in the Sunday press service of the Kremlin.
"Marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan, the feast day has a special spiritual meaning, the joy of gaining invaluable experience of moral purification, self-improvement. For centuries, it is customary to celebrate not only fervent prayer, but also a manifestation of attention to those who need assistance and care", – said, in particular, in a congratulation of the President.
The President stressed that the Russian followers of Islam with a deep reverence for historical, cultural and religious traditions of their fathers and grandfathers, and attach to them the younger generation.
"the Muslim community of Russia actively participates in the life of the country, making an invaluable contribution to the maintenance of interethnic peace and civil accord in the society, strengthening the family institution and education of youth. And of course, today, in terms of spread of dangerous diseases, responsible for humanitarian, charitable mission of the Muslim clergy, religious organizations, all Muslims countries are in high demand, is the protection of life and health of people", – said Putin.
