The head of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba announced the transfer to the international Tribunal of the United Nations Memorandum, which contains evidence of Russian guilt in the case of the incident in the Kerch Strait. Reports about it “European truth”.
As reported by “Rambler” in November 2018 in the Kerch Strait three ships of naval forces of Ukraine crossed the Russian border and were detained. In September of 2019, arrested sailors freed in the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine has threatened Russia with submission of Memorandum to the international Maritime Tribunal.
Today during an online press briefing Deputy head of the foreign Ministry Yevhen Yenin signed a Memorandum of understanding for the International Tribunal of the UN.
“We share our detailed legal position on the international criminal court. Facts, images, evidence and the legal position – everyone is here systematically set forth,” – said the head of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
He assured that Ukraine is “committed to justice” and stressed that “Russia needs to answer” for the violation of the UN Convention on the law of the sea and the detention of Ukrainian sailors and ships.
