Infinity is only growing on South West Angola and Namibia within the exceptionally dry and stony desert of the Namib. It’s an incredible long-lived: the age of some specimens of this plant, as defined by the radiocarbon method, is about two thousand years.

Researchers have observed for 1330 plants in 12 different locations near the Kunene river. Using climatic data, scientists have estimated how much deteriorated the quality of habitat for these plants. The figure for most plants 69.5%.

Scientists suggest to make the plant in the Red data book of International Union for conservation of nature (IUCN) with the status “endangered species”.
