The granddaughter of the legendary Marshal of armored troops Pavel Poluboyarov Elena Teplova told how her grandfather along with his tank corps in December 1942, the year broke in the rear of the Nazis to liberate the village of Kantemirovka. In this village was a major transportation hub through which German command planned to send support to those surrounded by the army of General Paulus. Poluboyarov decided to use the tactics of "Horseshoe Caesar" to accomplish the objectives of the liberation of Kantemirovka. Strikes on enemy targets were struck simultaneously from different positions. In the end, the village was liberated, and an important transport hub cut for the enemy.
