Microsoft has announced the creation of one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. It will get non-profit research organization OpenAI created by the head of SpaceX Elon Musk.
According to the Microsoft estimations, this machine is among the five most powerful supercomputers in the world. It will process data for the various models and algorithms of artificial intelligence.
As explained by Microsoft, historically experts in machine learning has developed a small model of artificial intelligence that could perform any one specific task – to identify the object, translate text and more. However, the company’s experts proved that some of these tasks better performed as one big model that understands the nuances of speech, grammar and context and is able to perform more complex tasks.
In Microsoft believe that the new supercomputer will be the first step to ensuring the next generation of models of artificial intelligence and the infrastructure available to a wide range of organizations and developers, marks “Interfax”.
Previously, Microsoft announced the completion of the may update of Windows 10 and made it available for download at the company network for developers – Microsoft Developer Network, MSDN. The company noted that they want to do the update as stable as possible for all users.
