On may 19 he was found dead in the apartment, rescuers opened the door at the request of the neighbors.

Maxim was an extraordinary man, intelligent, highly knowledgeable, very honest and humble. And underestimated”, – wrote in Facebook cousin Maxim Ilya Sviridov.
According to Sviridov, Morgunov was completely healthy, had no addictions and chronic diseases.
