Chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko called the provisional date of the end of the quarantine. About it reports “RBC-Ukraine”.
According to him, the restrictions can last up to 22 June, gradually calm down. He also did not rule out that in case of rapid reduction of cases, quarantine of Ukraine may be cancelled prematurely.
Lyashko explained that the extension was needed because the epidemiology is difficult to predict the seasonal situation with the spread of the virus after the onset of summer. He stressed that quarantine measures must be responsive and directly linked to the epidemiological situation in a particular region.
March 12, the Ukrainian government has introduced a nationwide quarantine of coronavirus for a period of a month, later it was extended to may 22. From 6 April, the country has tightened quarantine measures, in particular the government has forbidden to gather on the street in groups of more than two persons, except in cases of support of children. Citizens were obliged to wear personal protective equipment and when leaving the house to have at itself the documents proving the identity.
On may 11, the restrictive measures were relaxed. In a country were food stores, terrace restaurants and cafes, the ban on walks in the parks. In Kiev, the relaxation of restrictive measures began to operate from Tuesday, may 12.
According to recent data, in Ukraine, the coronavirus has infected 18 876 people, 548 patients died.
