Russian President Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev discussed the situation in the border regions of Dagestan, where he accumulated a large number of Azerbaijanis wishing to travel home, reports a press-service of the Kremlin.
It is noted that the conversation took place on the initiative of the Russian side.
"Discussed the difficult situation in the border regions of Dagestan, where he accumulated a large number of Azerbaijani citizens seeking to leave home. The two leaders agreed to instruct relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries expeditiously to work in cooperation with regional authorities on all related matters", – stated in the message.
