A vaccine against coronavirus may appear in Russia by the end of summer. This statement was made by the Director of the National research centre of epidemiology and Microbiology named after honoured academician N. F. Gamalei Alexander Ginzburg.
According to him, the vaccine about COVID-19 presumably can register in August.
"In the month of August, I hope, if all goes according to plan and there will be no surprises", – he said on air of TV channel "Russia-1".
Earlier, the head Federal mediko-biological Agency Veronika Skvortsova said that at the moment selected some good samples of proteins for vaccines.
She also called the drug inhibits COVID-19 for 48 hours even in the minimal dose to 2 micrograms per milliliter. According to Skvortsova, this drug is "Mefloquine". She noted that at this stage clinical studies of the drug in the ten leading center of FMBA.
