King Abdullah II of Jordan declared that the annexation to Israel of parts of the Jordan valley will have dangerous consequences. His words publishes The Times of Israel.
He stressed that he does not want to threaten and reinforce differences, however, ready for any response options, including the military.
“If Israel indeed annexed in July of the West Bank of the Jordan river, it will lead to a large confrontation with us,” said Abdullah II.
In his opinion, this will lead to anarchy and the rise of extremism across the region. The Jordanian king added that the Amman agreement with many countries in Europe and the international community, however, noted that to apply the law of forces in the middle East is not worth it.
On 11 September, the Russian foreign Ministry said that plans for Israel’s annexation of the new territories could undermine hopes for peace between a Jewish state and neighbouring Arab countries.
