Moscow authorities intend to reach a new level of testing for coronavirus infection COVID-19 immunoassay (ELISA). As reported TASS, said the mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
Today, as reported by “the Rambler”, the mayor has led a meeting with members of the clinical Committee for coronavirus infection. In the course of it he called the next task facing the authorities of the capital, access to new levels of quality and number of tests using ELISA.
“In Moscow there was a technical possibility to increase IFA-diagnosis of up to 100 thousand studies per day”, — the mayor declared.
He added that weekly and 70 thousand inhabitants of Moscow will be invited to take the ELISA test and in the future, the technical possibilities allow to increase the number of tests for coronavirus infection of up to 200 thousand per day.
“this week 30 clinics will start taking blood from Muscovites for screening studies,” — said Sobyanin.
The outbreak of disease infection COVID-19, which causes the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 began, as reported by “the Rambler”, in December in China. According to recent figures, worldwide, the number of cases exceeded 4.3 million. In Russia the number of cases exceeded 252,2 thousand people, the number of recovered — 53,5 thousand people, the number of deaths — 2.3 thousand people.
