In Blagoveshchensk completed repair work on the road bridge over the Zeya river, which connects the city with the South-East Amur region.
Workers have installed the overpass, which will allow resumption of movement through the moving of heavy vehicles.
At the end of April on the bridge, which was built in 1981 and since then never capitally was not under repair, sank one of the plates of the roadway. Experts examining the crash site of the overpass, forbade traffic with load capacity over 2, 5 tons and large buses.
“Today during the day will be testing the bearing capacity of the overpass. The results will be the conclusion of the traffic police and a specialized laboratory. Also asphalted sections of the abutment design to the road surface. 14 may perhaps already get traffic for vehicles weighing up to 10 tons,” – said the first Deputy of the mayor of Blagoveshchensk Oleg Kamaev.
it is Planned that extensive renovation work will begin in June.According to the head of the region Vasily Orlov, construction of a new bridge across the Zeya will start in 2020. The total cost of the project is 20 billion rubles.
