UN chief Antonio Guterres supported the appeal of the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky addressed to parliamentary organizations, politicians in the United States and the European Union, about the need to abolish unilateral sanctions against the background of the pandemic coronavirus.

“I fully share your views on the need for international cooperation in the fight against certain aspects of this global challenge. I call upon member States UN, including the Russian Federation, to support each other in the struggle with the biggest crisis of our time in the field of health, including through funding a Global plan for humanitarian response, launched in March 2020,” — said in response Guterres.
