on Tuesday, Medvedev held a reception of citizens on the protection of labour rights. Approached by a resident of the Ulyanovsk region Anastasia Smyslova. She said that it often happens that orphans are unable to register as unemployed due to the fact that they have not received apartments from the state in which they must register. Accordingly, according to documents they do not have a permanent place of residence. Medvedev responded by saying that we need amendments to the law. According to him, the problem is systemic and is associated not only with a pandemic of coronavirus.
“Consider it necessary to launch a legislative initiative, according to which the orphans could receive all payments at the place of actual residence to solve the housing problem,” he said.
In turn, the Secretary of the General Council Andrey Turchak added that it is also necessary to provide for a simplified procedure of registration of orphan children on the account. He said that together with the government and the state Duma, the party will analyse the legislation about orphans and propose the necessary amendments.
