On the territory of the summer residence of the Russian Embassy in Tehran hosted a ceremony dedicated to the memory of Soviet soldiers who died in Iran during world war II.
As the correspondent “RG” from the event, the event was attended by diplomats, members of their families, employees of the military atasate, as well as representatives of Russian organizations functioning in the Republic. The participants of the ceremony were made by Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan of jagaran.
“Today we are together with you in a close circle to celebrate this wonderful holiday, the day of the 75th anniversary of the great Victory, here at the obelisk of our soldiers who died in Iran from August 1941 to March 1946. Throughout Iran we have many such graves, and we, as possible try to follow them and to take care of,” said the Russian head of Demissie.
jagaran also expressed regret that because of the situation with coronavirus in Iran in the ceremony are unable to participate colleagues “from the fraternal countries of the CIS, whose peoples made a major contribution to the Victory”.
