Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botan-Kharchenko stressed that the Victory Day is a holiday that primarily involves the heart depth, great emotional scope, and no isolation is unable to prevent. “Opponents of the great Victory will never cause us to withdraw in isolation from history and what we are rightfully proud”, he said.
the Diplomat explained that Russia and Serbia the best cooperation to prevent the falsification of history. “This is understandable, he said. – The key fact – our joint fight during the war. Serbia was a country that, not giving up, continued to fight. In difficult periods, particularly in the battle of Moscow, bound German division, not allowing the Germans to transfer from the Balkans additional reinforcements under Smolensk or Moscow. This cooperation continued and developed in the postwar years. And now we are together. We will not allow to have forgotten our past. In Serbia, as elsewhere, understand the problem, which is those who want to erase, distort history. The problem is quite clear: to dominate the world, to put all countries in a row and use them, as they say, for the dancers, to feel free, unashamed dismembering of a sovereign state, and punishing military means the people who do not agree with this subdivision. First of all, referring to the tragedy in Kosovo, events in the former Yugoslavia. We fight on the international markets for our common values. And our common values of the international plan are those that arose as a result of the great Victory. We do not forget that 75 years is a Victory and the 75th anniversary of the United Nations. The allies called themselves the United Nations, it has grown into an organization that has worked, works and will retain its effectiveness in the future based on those principles, which are intended to ensure a just world order”.
