China and Russia bear a special mission to maintain global peace and security, said Chinese President XI Jinping in a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
XI Jinping, in a conversation with his Russian counterpart congratulated Russia with the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, reports TASS with reference to China Central television.
Also, the Chinese leader said that China is ready together with Russia to defend the results of the Second world war and to defend justice in the world.
“As major powers – the winners in world war II and permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and Russia carry on their shoulders the task of defending global peace, our country has a special mission – to promote the development and progress of mankind,” said XI.
“China is ready to follow together with Russia, firmly defend the results of the victory in the Second world war and to defend international justice, to support and implement the principles of multilateralism, to be always a champion of world peace, to contribute to global development and to protect the order,” he added.
Russian Ambassador to Beijing Andrei Denisov said that the help and significant contributions from the Soviet Union to the victory of the Chinese people in the war with Japan in China enjoys great respect.
