Yesterday the Central election Commission has processed 100% of protocols and has presented preliminary results of the vote. According to them, 77,92% of Russians supported the amendments to the Constitution of 21.27% is not supported. Today the Commission adopted these voting results, passing a corresponding resolution at the meeting.
Yesterday, Putin’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov called the results of voting on amendments to the Constitution is unequivocal triumph and said that de facto the vote was a referendum on confidence in Putin. In turn, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that in fact the vote was a plebiscite on the consolidation of society around Putin as the best hope for stability, order and overcoming Russia’s most difficult challenges.
