Craft lovers are familiar with 1001 pots, this great gathering of ceramists which has taken place every year since 1989 in the heart of one of the most charming villages in the Laurentians, and which is the largest event of its kind in the country with around a hundred of exhibitors.
The Bal des Lucioles kicks off this exhibition, which will take place from July 7 to August 20, in the heart of Val-David.
Some ceramists will offer pottery demonstrations, others will present sculptural works. Visitors who wish to immerse themselves in clay will not fail to register for ceramics training and workshops. For its 34th edition, 1001 pots will welcome two new artists in residence: Isabelle Simard and Eve-Marie Laliberté, who will take turns highlighting their creations.
Young and old alike will be happy to stroll around this lively site, especially on Saturdays when classical and jazz music concerts, as well as puppet theater and poetry performances, are offered to the public.
